Microsoft to Acquire Ciao.com

August 29, 2008 – In an attempt to boost its Internet search and e-commerce business, Microsoft announced on Friday it has agreed to acquire Greenfield Online, the owner of European price comparison website Ciao.com, for about $486 million.
