ICANN Updates Whois Reporting Functions

December 29, 2008 — In a decision that will introduce the first major improvements since its launch six years ago, domain name control body ICANN has redesigned its system for receiving reports of inaccurate domain name registration data, giving complainants the power to send detailed Whois inaccuracy information to registrars who can then more easily investigate such situations.
